Most consultants come from one direction.
My career has run through all of them.

My career in veterinary medicine was formed from the ground up. I started as an assistant on the clinic floor, monitoring patients, assisting in surgery, working in reception, and every other job within a clinic. That foundation gave me a genuine understanding of how veterinary practices work from the inside out, how crucial every level of staff is and how clinics need to be built, structured and managed.

After my studies, I moved to the business side, joining the founding team of a private fund entering the vet and pet space in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). Over four years, I was involved in the full scope of building a consolidation platform, sourcing and evaluating acquisitions, leading post-merger integration, standardizing HR and financial processes across a growing group of clinics, and advising on long-term strategy. That gave me a perspective that is rare in the industry — an insider's view of how financial investors approach veterinary medicine, how consolidation decisions are made, and what impact those decisions have for the people working inside those clinics.

In 2021, I moved into clinic leadership. Over five years and two consolidation groups, I ran the operations of a veterinary hospital and a large referral centre for veterinary oncology and orthopedics. This included P&L responsibility, hiring, developing teams, pricing strategy, managing suppliers and partners, and overseeing compliance. One of those roles involved leading the building of one of CEE's largest referral facilities from the ground up, resulting in the clinic also becoming the first Cat Friendly Gold accredited facility in CEE.

In 2026, I founded VetOps to expand my love for advisory in practice management and my passion for speaking to help clinics, groups and investors navigate the strategic, operational and human challenges that define this industry. I bring an obsession to detail, a practice manager's instincts, and a perspective shaped by over a decade on both the human and business sides of the table.

Corporate vs. Private Practice: Is There a Right Choice?
One of the most debated questions in veterinary medicine today. This talk moves beyond the usual polemics to offer a nuanced, evidence grounded analysis of what corporate consolidation and independent ownership each actually deliver for employees, managers, owners, and for the profession as a whole. Drawing on direct experience inside two PE backed platforms.
Best for: mixed conference audiences, early to mid-career professionals, practice owners considering exit or acquisition
Talk or Panel45 min
PE in Veterinary Medicine: What Consolidation Really Means for Your Practice
An insider's view of private equity in the veterinary sector. Honest, balanced and based on direct experience on both the investor and operator side.
Best for: practice owners, senior clinicians, national veterinary association events
Keynote50 min
People, Purpose, Profit: Why the Order Is Everything During Consolidation
Examines what happens in practice when consolidators invert the sequence, profit first, people last, using real consolidation case studies from Central Europe and beyond. Directly relevant to markets where aggregators are entering and the human cost of getting the order wrong is still being counted.
Best for: practice owners, senior clinicians, corporate groups, investors in veterinary medicine
Oncology from the Management Perspective
Keynote60 min

How veterinarians communicate difficult news, complications, prognosis, treatment limitations, directly affects client trust, compliance and patient outcomes. This session examines the language, structure and empathy behind difficult conversations in oncology settings, offering practical frameworks for clinical teams.
Best for: oncology teams, specialist referral centers, veterinary nursing and communication CPD
Keynote45 min
Breaking a Cancer Diagnosis: The Conversation That Sets Everything That Follows
The moment a client hears the word cancer sets the entire trajectory of your relationship with them. This talk examines the structure, language and timing of the oncology diagnosis conversation, covering how to deliver difficult information clearly, hold space for emotional response, and leave the client with a foundation for what comes next rather than just a diagnosis.
Best for: oncology teams, specialist referral centers, veterinary communication CPD
Keynote45 min
The Cost Conversation in Oncology: Financial Honesty Without Losing Trust
Oncology treatment can run to thousands of dollars over a short period. The cost conversation is one of the most emotionally charged moments in veterinary practice and one of the least trained for. This talk gives clinicians and client-facing teams a framework for discussing financial realities with honesty and empathy, without losing client trust or compromising care.
Best for: oncology teams, referral center staff, clinic directors, veterinary communication CPD
Keynote40 min
Anticipatory Grief in Veterinary Oncology: Dealing With Loss Before It Happens
Clients whose pets are diagnosed with cancer begin grieving long before the end. Anticipatory grief shapes every appointment, every decision and every conversation, and most veterinary teams are not trained to recognize it. This talk examines the psychology of anticipatory grief and gives oncology teams a practical framework for supporting clients through it from diagnosis to end of life.
Best for: oncology teams, specialist referral centers, veterinary nursing and communication CPD
Keynote45 min
Normalizing Grief: How Veterinary Professionals Can Support Grieving Pet Parents and Why They Should
Pet loss grief is real, clinically recognized, and routinely underestimated by the profession. This talk makes the case for why veterinary teams have both the opportunity and the responsibility to support grieving clients and gives practical tools for doing so without overstepping clinical boundaries or burning out the team in the process.
Best for: general veterinary conference audiences, oncology teams, veterinary nursing congresses, CPD programmes
Keynote50 min
Building an Oncology Referral Service from Scratch
Drawing on direct experience building one of CEE's largest veterinary oncology and orthopedic referral centers, this talk covers the infrastructure, staffing model, equipment decisions and referral network required to launch and scale a specialist service. An honest account of what the textbooks don't cover and what actually determines whether a referral center survives its first three years.
Best for: practice owners, hospital directors, corporate groups, investors entering specialist veterinary medicine
Keynote45 min
Quality of Life Frameworks: Giving Clients and Clinicians a Shared Language
One of the hardest conversations in oncology is also one of the most important, and it is rarely structured. This talk introduces practical quality of life frameworks that give clinicians and clients an objective shared language for treatment decisions, reducing emotional ambiguity and improving both the client experience and clinical outcomes.
Best for: oncology teams, specialist referral centers, veterinary nursing CPD, clinical leads
People & Retention
Keynote45 min
Motivating the Team & Maintaining Work Life Balance
Great clinics are built on motivated and cohesive teams. This session draws on direct experience managing a team of 50 people across multiple clinic environments, exploring what actually drives motivation in veterinary practice, how leaders can sustain it, and how individuals can protect their own balance in a demanding profession.
Best for: practice managers, clinic directors, team leaders, veterinary leadership events
Keynote45 min
Staying Sane in the Veterinary Profession
Veterinary medicine consistently ranks among the highest risk professions for burnout, compassion fatigue and mental health challenges. This talk addresses the systemic and personal factors behind the crisis, and offers honest, practical strategies for protecting your wellbeing without leaving the profession we all love.
Best for: general veterinary conference audiences, young vet events, veterinary nursing congresses
Keynote45 min
The Real Cost of Turnover: Building the Business Case for a People-First Practice
What does one veterinarian departure actually cost, in recruitment fees, onboarding time, productivity loss, and client attrition? This talk makes the retention ROI argument explicit and quantified, giving clinic owners a framework they can apply immediately. Rare on the conference circuit because most retention talks stay in the soft-skills lane.
Best for: practice owners, clinic directors, corporate group leadership, business-focused CPD events
Keynote40 min
The Recruitment Magnet: How to Make Vets Come to You
Based on a real case where a people-first practice received three unsolicited hiring requests in one year without advertising. Deconstructs the structural conditions that turn a clinic into a destination employer, what to build internally, what to measure, and how to signal it externally in a tight labor market.
Best for: practice owners, HR leads, clinic directors, recruitment-focused CPD
Workshop60 min
Structured Growth: Designing Career Pathways in a Small Veterinary Practice
Delivers the operational blueprint for staff development that most small practices don't have, covering role ladders, competency frameworks, compensation progression, and mentorship structures. Targeted at practice owners who want to retain associates but have no formal development infrastructure in place.
Best for: practice owners, managers, veterinary leadership events, CPD programmes
Leadership & Culture
Keynote45 min
Fear-Driven vs. Meaning-Driven Management: Rewriting the Clinic Employment Contract
Explores the psychological contract between employer and employee in veterinary medicine and what happens when it goes unwritten. Especially sharp in markets being disrupted by corporatization, where old loyalty norms are dissolving and new ones haven't been built yet.
Best for: practice owners, managers, corporate groups entering new markets, veterinary association events
Keynote50 min
Psychological Safety as a Clinical Quality Mechanism, Not a HR Buzzword
This talk argues that psychological safety is first a patient safety tool and second a culture tool. Built around error reporting systems, near-miss culture, and the measurable quality outcomes that result, linked to ISO-adjacent frameworks that resonate in European clinical settings.
Best for: clinical leads, quality managers, hospital directors, veterinary nursing congresses
Keynote45 min
Maslow's Hierarchy Has a Reception Desk: Meeting Staff Needs at Every Level of Your Clinic

Gives owners and managers a practical diagnostic tool for understanding why different staff members disengage in different ways.
Best for: practice owners, managers, team leads, veterinary leadership events
Workshop60 min
The Voice Audit: Does Your Team Actually Tell You the Truth?
Psychological safety is theorized often but rarely operationalized. This session gives clinic leaders a practical diagnostic, covering survey instruments, meeting formats, anonymous feedback mechanisms, and behavioral signals, to assess whether staff are genuinely candid or just compliant.
Best for: practice managers, clinical leads, team leaders, veterinary leadership events
Practice Finance
Keynote + Roundtable50 min + 40 min Roundtable
From Communication to Cash Flow: Quantifying Patient-Centered Care
Empathy is not soft. This session demonstrates how doctor communication quality, client trust and patient centered care translate directly into measurable business outcomes. NPS scores, client lifetime value, treatment acceptance rates and revenue retention. Includes a practical framework for implementing leading indicators in any practice regardless of size or ownership model.
Best for: practice managers, clinic directors, corporate group medical leadership
Keynote40 min
Staying Competitive: Implementing Value Based Pricing
Most veterinary practices price on cost plus habit. This session makes the case for value based pricing, what it is, why it works, and how to implement it without losing clients. Practical, evidence grounded and built around the realities of practice economics.
Best for: practice owners, managers, corporate group leadership, business-focused CPD events
Workshop60 min
Practice Finance for Clinicians: Understanding the Numbers That Run Your Clinic
Most vets graduate with no financial training. This workshop closes that gap covering pricing strategy, margin analysis, reading a P&L, and how financial literacy unlocks career options and better clinical decisions. Practical, jargon light and built for an audience of clinicians, not accountants.
Best for: veterinary schools, young vet congresses, CPD programmes
Clinical Communication
